7. Haggle

Haggling is an essential skill to have if you plan to travel to many Asian countries. I have seen it firsthand and have heard multiple stories where people have been either ripped off or have bought items with 50% less of what the sellers gave the starting price. China is one of the most known countries in the world where you have to haggle like a pro if you don’t want to be ripped off.
8. No Taxis

Taxi drivers are the same everywhere in the world when they see a tourist they will charge you triple of what they charge the locals because the tourists don’t know the prices. Thankfully, you can use public transportation that will cost you exponentially less.
9. Cook for yourself

Saying that cooking for yourself is less expensive than eating outside is an understatement, for that reason you should look for apartments or hostels that also have a kitchen where you can cook things for yourself.
